From March, we have started a series of workshops designed to examine strategic, cross-cutting energy technology, policy, or related issues. These technical workshops is facilitated by Geoff Bragg, Director Smart Energy Council. With more than 18 years PV industry experience on off-grid, on-grid and energy storage, Geoff lives and breathes solar. Geoff is joined by special guests and experts from local industry. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points are also available!
Victor Chen, Business Development Manager from AlphaESS gave an in-depth presentation on the major applications of energy storages, especially in areas of medium to large commercial and industrial adaption.
Why energy storage is going to power our future?
Under a high growth scenario, around 450,000 energy storage systems could be installed by 2020.
The combination of residential and commercial energy storage could deliver 3 gigawatt hours (GWh) of distributed storage by 2020.

-Diesel Replacement
-Maximum self-consumption
-Micro-Grid
-Arbitrage between Retail Prices
